LIZ NEWMAN
Managing Principal
Liz Newman has a diverse 34-year background in Real Estate Development and Construction. She is a Graduate Master Builder, a Certified Green Professional, and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist. Her experience spans both commercial and residential construction, with hands-on roles in operations, design, and field management. Originally from Miami, FL, she relocated to the Colorado Front Range after developing luxury townhome communities in downtown Dallas, TX, and high-end homes in Dallas and Fort Worth. Liz has successfully negotiated equity deals and contracts for various real estate developments across Dallas, Houston, and more recently, the Western U.S.
Over the past decade, Liz has played a multifaceted role at MCCAULEY CONSTRUCTORS INC., focusing on Planning and Business Development. Drawing from her development background, she identified new project opportunities and fostered relationships with clients to generate new contracting projects and acquire well-positioned development assets, which in turn led her to establish MCCAULEY DEVELOPMENT GROUP, LLC.
Throughout her career, Liz has garnered numerous accolades for her contributions to the industry. She served on the NAHB Board of Directors for 11 years, was recognized multiple times as Dallas' Best Builder by D Magazine, named one of the Top 10 Most Dynamic Women in Dallas by Dallas Modern Luxury Magazine, and was honored as Dallas' 2009 Green Builder of the Year.
Recently, Biz West recognized Liz as one of the Notable Leaders in Architecture, Engineering & Construction for 2022 within the Boulder Valley and Northern Colorado. Liz has actively participated as Vice-Chair of the Boulder Valley School District Construction Advisory Board, served as the Northern Colorado Liaison for the Associated Builders and Contractors Rocky Mountain Chapter, and chaired SMPS Northern Colorado. Additionally, she has mentored Colorado State University students in Construction Management and served as a judge for the Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Awards in Denver for six years. Liz currently serves as the Director of the Northern Colorado Land Exchanges.
Liz is an extraordinary person and talented developer with a heart to serve. She is as concerned about your project as much, if not more, as the client. Liz has a keen eye for detail, sees opportunities that others may have overlooked, is as knowledgeable about construction as the contractor, and will see your project through to the end. I’m very fortunate to call her a colleague, peer and friend. She’s “Allstate" to me…I’m in good - no, great - hands!
